If you’re dreaming of a wedding that blends warm textures with elevated simplicity, Brianna and Bryce’s November celebration at UNION is the perfect source of inspiration. From thoughtful personal details to a design that embraced the venue’s natural character, their day was the definition of modern rustic done right.
With the help of 828 Planning for month-of coordination, Bri and Bryce were able to stay present and fully soak in every moment, which is exactly how your wedding day should feel.

A Love Story That Started in Kirksville
Brianna and Bryce’s story began in Kirksville, Missouri, where they met while working at the same grocery store. What started as a simple connection quickly grew into something lasting, including Bri’s nickname for Bryce: “my honey.”
That sweet detail made its way into their wedding day in the most memorable way. Each guest was greeted with a small honey pot at their place setting, a meaningful (and delicious) favor that tied their story into the celebration.
Now living in El Paso, Texas, Bri and Bryce welcomed guests who traveled from all over to celebrate their new chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Robinson.

A Modern Rustic Wedding Design at UNION
From the beginning, Bri and Bryce envisioned a modern rustic wedding; something that felt natural, warm, and elevated without being overdone. UNION provided the perfect foundation.
The venue’s exposed brick walls and signature wooden tables became the centerpiece of the design. Rather than covering these elements, Bri leaned into them with intentional, minimal styling:
- Soft cheesecloth runners for an organic, textured look
- Pampas grass arrangements in simple vases
- Lush greenery to add life and movement
- Copper arch accented with florals for a clean, romantic ceremony backdrop
The result was a design that felt cohesive, modern, and effortlessly inviting; allowing the natural beauty of the venue to speak for itself.

A Kansas City Wedding Worth Traveling For
With many guests traveling in from out of town, Bri and Bryce prioritized creating a wedding that felt fun, welcoming, and full of energy. Good drinks, great music, and an easy flow throughout the day ensured everyone felt part of the celebration from start to finish.
Their story added even more depth to the day. Bri and her family are part of the military, and she had returned from deployment just three months before the wedding. This made the gathering even more meaningful, since it’s rare to have all their loved ones together in one place.

The Sweetest Guest Appearance
One of the most unforgettable moments? Sunny’s cameo.
UNION is a pet-friendly venue in Kansas City (and we LOVE when you bring your pets on your wedding day!), so Bri and Bryce’s one-year-old Golden Retriever made a special appearance at the venue, instantly winning over every guest. True to the name, Sunny brought warmth, joy, and a whole lot of personality to the day, adding even more charm and family feels to an already heartfelt celebration.

Why UNION Is Perfect for a Modern Rustic Wedding
Bri and Bryce’s wedding is a perfect example of why UNION stands out among Kansas City wedding venues. Its blend of industrial character and warm architectural details like exposed brick and wooden beams makes it ideal for couples who want a modern rustic aesthetic without needing to over-decorate.
Whether you’re incorporating meaningful personal touches (like honey pot favors) or keeping your design simple and intentional, UNION provides a space that adapts beautifully to your vision.

A Huge Congratulations
From a grocery store meet-cute to a celebration filled with thoughtful details, Bri and Bryce’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are: warm, joyful, and deeply connected to their people.
With meaningful design choices, a packed dance floor, and Sunny by their side, their day at UNION was everything a wedding should be: personal, memorable, and full of love.
Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Robinson!
